La Serna and Soto compete at Augsburg Challenger

South American tennis players Manu La Serna and Matías Soto faced mixed results at the Augsburg Challenger in Germany.

Argentine player Manu La Serna was eliminated from the singles competition after losing in the round of 16 to Hynek Barton of the Czech Republic. Barton won the match with scores of 1-6, 7-5, and 6-2. However, La Serna remains in the tournament in the doubles category, where he and Brazilian partner Eduardo Ribeiro advanced to the quarterfinals after defeating Cristian Rodríguez and Denis Yevseyev.

Chilean player Matías Soto was eliminated in the second round of the singles tournament. After a first-round victory against Oleksii Krutykh, Soto lost to Germany's Marvin Moeller with a score of 3-6, 6-7. The result earns Soto three ATP points, which is expected to move his world ranking to 258.
