La Sinfonía de los Bichos Raros to premiere in Colombian cinemas

The musical fantasy film ‘La Sinfonía de los Bichos Raros’, an original concept by Puerto Candelaria, is set to premiere in Colombian cinemas on October 22. Directed by Julián Duque with creative direction by Juancho Valencia, the film marks Duque’s directorial debut.

Before its domestic release, the film will make its international debut at the Sitges Film Festival in Spain, specifically within the ‘Sitges Family’ section. The production features live-action creatures utilizing prosthetics and FX makeup, aiming to provide a unique aesthetic within the Colombian film industry. The project originated in 2021 as a musical and scenic proposal before expanding into this narrative feature, which explores themes of respecting differences.
