La Spezia hosts sixth Maggiolino Golfo Cup vintage car rally

The sixth edition of the Maggiolino Golfo Cup, a rally dedicated to vintage Volkswagen Aircooled vehicles, is scheduled to take place on September 13 in Italy. The event begins in La Spezia at the Villaggio del Golfo, where participants will gather for registration and a traditional Ligurian breakfast.

The rally route will lead crews from La Spezia through the Cinque Terre and Val di Vara, eventually reaching Varese Ligure. Key stops include the Cantina Sociale 5 Terre in Riomaggiore and the Caseificio Val di Vara for lunch.

In the afternoon, participants will visit historical sites in Varese Ligure, including the Castello dei Fieschi, the Church of Saints Teresa d’Avila and Philip Neri, the Civic Tower, and the Ponte di Grexino. The event will conclude back in La Spezia with an awards ceremony and prize drawings.
