La Spezia launches hospitality training course for unemployed residents

A new vocational training program for hospitality and experiential marketing is being launched in La Spezia, Italy. The course, titled ‘Tecnico dell’Ospitalità e del Marketing Esperienziale’, is designed to help unemployed, inactive, or jobless individuals enter the tourism sector.

Promoted by Forma in collaboration with Confcooperative Liguria, Terra Viva Liguria, and the municipalities of Varese Ligure and Zignago, the initiative is co-financed by the European Union and the Liguria Region. The program aims to develop skills in front office management, digital promotion, and the valorization of local food and artisanal products, with a focus on sustainable and slow tourism.

The 600-hour course includes 420 hours of classroom and distance learning, followed by 180 hours of on-site internships. Twelve positions are available for residents of Liguria who hold a high school diploma. The program is scheduled to run from November 2026 to June 2027.
