La Strada unveils Avanti R campervan at Caravan Salon

La Strada has introduced the Avanti R, a new compact campervan variant, at the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf. Based on the Fiat Ducato chassis, the 6.36-meter vehicle is designed primarily for two travelers and features a large rear lounge seating area that can accommodate up to four people.

To maximize space, the model utilizes an electric drop-down bed measuring 2.02 by 1.92 meters, which lowers over the lounge area at the touch of a button. The design allows for a breakfast area to be created by rotating the driver and passenger seats toward a small table. The vehicle comes equipped with a 140 PS diesel engine and an automatic transmission.

The launch coincides with a broader model update for the Avanti series scheduled for the 2027 season. These updates include standard compressor refrigerators, new digital touch control panels integrated with the La Strada app, and mineral stone countertops. All upcoming models will also comply with General Safety Regulation II, featuring advanced driver assistance systems such as lane keeping assist and emergency brake assist.
