Elche restaurant La Teulada wins Spanish Omelette Championship

Celia Clara Correira, representing the Elche-based restaurant La Teulada, has been crowned the winner of the 19th Spanish Omelette Championship-Tescoma Trophy. The competition, held during the Alicante Gastronómica fair, recognized her tortilla as the best in Spain for 2026.

According to jury chairman Rafael García Santos, this edition was one of the most closely contested on record. Alejandro Oliveira from Madrid’s La Falda de Chamberí took second place, while Carlos Boado from Caserío de Tirón in A Coruña secured third. A three-way tie occurred for fourth place between the restaurants O Cabo, Nou Pinet, and Tizona.

The judging panel included renowned chefs and culinary critics. All prize winners have automatically qualified for the 2027 championship, which is scheduled to return to Alicante Gastronómica.
