La Vaca Mora night race in Italy's Altopiano dei Sette Comuni sees Massimo Guerra and Arianna Lutteri win

The 15th edition of the La Vaca Mora race took place on the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni in the Veneto region, running a 10‑km course along the former railway between Tresché Conca and Canove of Roana. The event was uniquely staged at night, illuminated by more than 2,000 lamps, creating a “light snake” that guided participants through the mountainous terrain.

Over 700 athletes and recreational runners completed the course. In the men’s race, Massimo Guerra of Atletica Vicentina claimed victory with a time of 30:57, finishing 26 seconds ahead of defending champion Franco Pesavento. Arianna Lutteri of KM Sport dominated the women’s field, winning in 38:49 with a margin of over two minutes. The race was organized by Uisp Vicenza with support from the Roana municipality and local Pro Loco groups.

The event highlighted the region’s capacity to host distinctive night‑time sporting spectacles and added a successful chapter to the local athletics calendar.
