La Vega authorities seek suspect in attempted murder case

The Central Investigation Directorate (DICRIM) of the National Police is actively searching for 31-year-old Cristopher Ramón García Guerra, also known as ‘Cris’. García Guerra is the alleged perpetrator of an attempted murder against Adán Santos Mena, identified as ‘Adán’.

The incident occurred on September 8, 2026, in the Jimayaco sector of Carbimota, La Vega province. In addition to the attempted murder, the suspect is being investigated for violations of Law 631-16 regarding the control and regulation of weapons, ammunition, and related materials.

Authorities have issued a judicial arrest warrant (No. 2026-AJ0078105) through the Judicial Office of Permanent Attention Services of the La Vega Judicial District. DICRIM has classified García Guerra as ‘highly dangerous’ and is requesting public assistance in locating him.
