La Vuelta a España caravan announces Granada stopover schedule
The advertising caravan for La Vuelta a España has announced its schedule and technical stops for the stages passing through Granada. During Stage 20, which runs between La Calahorra and Collado del Alguacil, the festive caravan will make several scheduled stops to distribute promotional materials.
Technical stops for the caravan are planned in Guadix at 11:04, Cenes de la Vega at 12:25, Granada at 12:46, and Huétor Vega at 13:06 and 14:12. The route includes various municipalities such as Alquife, Lanteira, Jérez del Marquesado, and Purullena.
In addition to the promotional activities, the race relies on a complex logistical operation involving motorcycles. The Guardia Civil utilizes over 100 BMW motorcycles to manage traffic and security, while the organization uses Kawasaki motorcycles for technical support, such as transporting judges and spare wheels. For broadcasting, Televisión Española (TVE) employs specialized BMW motorcycles equipped with technical gear, including transmitters and 1.5-meter antennas, to capture live footage from both the front and rear of the peloton.
