Labé: Baker found dead after suspected attack in Dionfo

A baker identified as Mamadou Saïdou Diallo was found dead during the night of October 3 to October 4, 2026, in the Dionfo sub-prefecture of Labé. The victim was reportedly attacked at his place of work in N’Deylal before his body was moved to a nearby marigot (waterway).

Witnesses reported finding a significant amount of blood near the bakery's oven. During searches, individuals discovered shoes at the scene that did not belong to the bakery staff, suggesting the presence of unidentified assailants. The victim's body showed injuries to the neck and ears.

Local residents have informed authorities of the incident, and investigations are expected to begin to determine the exact circumstances of the killing and identify the perpetrators. The event has caused significant distress within the N’Deylal and Dionfo communities.
