Labor and infrastructure developments in Argentina
In Viedma, representatives from the CGT Río Negro (Atlantic Zone) met with municipal officials to coordinate infrastructure for the José Ignacio Rucci social housing project. Following a recent tender for electrical installations serving 350 families, the meeting focused on necessary preliminary works, including street opening and graveling the site. Further technical meetings are scheduled to define specific tasks.
In Tierra del Fuego, the Metalworkers' Union (UOM) Río Grande and Mirgor Group formalized a labor agreement valid until December 31, 2026. The pact allows for production suspensions of up to 15 days per month, during which workers will receive 75% of their net daily salary. The agreement also establishes an annual productivity bonus of $3,120,000 net per worker, payable in installments. Additionally, the contract includes social peace clauses that restrict protest actions to prevent interruptions in automotive production lines.
