Labor bureaus in Taichung and Kaohsiung honor friendly workplaces

Labor bureaus in Taichung and Kaohsiung have held ceremonies to recognize companies for fostering positive and inclusive work environments.

In Taichung, 33 business units and two groups received awards for their efforts in optimizing workplace environments. Notable honorees included China Aerospace Industries Corporation for its profit-sharing and insurance benefits, and Win-Sincere Pharmaceutical for its AI-integrated training systems. The city government aims to use these exemplary companies to encourage more businesses to create secure and happy workplaces.

In Kaohsiung, 14 companies were recognized under the “Warm City Project.” Awarded businesses demonstrated diverse initiatives, such as iPASS providing reduced working hours for parents of children under 12, and IKEA Kaohsiung promoting LGBTQ+ inclusivity. Other winners, including Yangming Maguang Chinese Medicine Clinic, were honored for creating intergenerational workplaces that support middle-aged and elderly employees, helping to improve retention rates in an aging workforce.
