Labor Dept Recovers $613K for 46 Minnesota Restaurant Workers

The U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division recovered more than $613,000 in back wages for 46 employees of a Minnesota restaurant chain operating as NY Gyro. Federal investigators inspected four of the chain’s nine locations and found the businesses—Rehman LLC, IN LLC, IQ LLC, and MOON LLC—failed to keep hour records, paid straight‑time for overtime, and paid at least one worker below the federal minimum wage of $7.25. The settlement provides the workers with the owed pay and underscores the department’s enforcement of minimum‑wage and overtime laws.

The department advises workers with wage‑law questions to contact its toll‑free helpline at 866‑4US‑WAGE.
