Labor developments in Reynosa focus on housing rights and workplace safety
In Reynosa, Tamaulipas, 160 employees of Athletic Sewing, S. de R. L. de C. V. received the legal deeds to their homes. This initiative was managed by the Federación de Trabajadores de Reynosa in coordination with INFONAVIT to provide legal certainty and property security to workers who had previously acquired homes through mortgage credits but lacked formal documentation.
Additionally, the Tamaulipas Secretariat of Labor and Social Welfare (STPS) conducted a labor orientation session for the Asociación Fronteriza de Distribuidores de Automotores (AFDA). The training focused on preventing psychosocial risks under NOM-035-STPS-2018 and implementing the ‘Ley Silla’ reform, which addresses the right to rest during work shifts to improve workplace health and safety.
