Labor dispute in Berane and school reconstruction delays in Zenica
In Montenegro, Staniša – Zeko Bubanja, an employee of the Agency for Construction and Development of Berane, has filed a lawsuit following his dismissal on June 17, 2026. Bubanja alleges he was subjected to prolonged pressure and mobbing by the agency's director, Ivan Radević. The dispute reportedly began on June 10, 2026, when Bubanja refused to operate a truck for roadwork in the village of Lokve, citing safety concerns regarding faulty brakes. Bubanja claims that after a verbal altercation with Radević over the vehicle's condition, he was terminated based on false accusations.
In Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Zenica branch of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) has criticized the Zenica-Doboj Canton government for failing to begin reconstruction work on the ‘Edhem Mulabdić’ elementary school. Despite a June announcement by Prime Minister Nezir Pivić that work might commence during the summer break, the SDP notes that no progress has been made. The party characterized the delay as a broken promise and urged citizens to evaluate the government's performance in upcoming elections.
