Labor disputes emerge in Teramo and Castelfranco
In Teramo, the UGL Salute union has called for immediate action regarding the relocation of the Arpa Abruzzo headquarters. The union criticized the local administration for delays following a June 2025 resolution, noting that the agency has been paying approximately 205,000 euros annually to rent a temporary location in Sant’Atto. The union suggests either relocating to Campo Boario or reconstructing the original site at Piazza Martiri Pennesi to prevent further waste of public resources.
In Castelfranco, municipal workers have declared a state of agitation following a dispute over a supplementary contract renewal. The CGIL union has challenged the validity of a signed agreement, claiming it lacked a proper mandate from the assembly. The disagreement centers on salary increases and how funds should be distributed among employees. The state of agitation is expected to continue until at least November 11, when a meeting is scheduled to discuss potential cooling-off procedures.
