Labor disputes reported in Chile and Argentina

In Chile, former employee Sergio Gálvez has accused television personality Carlos Pinto of owing approximately 200 million pesos. The dispute stems from a 2017 legal battle regarding an unjustified dismissal from the production company Irreversible, owned by Pinto. Although Gálvez won the initial labor lawsuit, which originally involved a 60 million peso indemnity, he claims the debt has grown significantly due to non-payment. Gálvez further alleged that Pinto transferred the assets of Irreversible to his son during the legal proceedings.

In Argentina, 30 workers at the La Perla bakery, owned by the family of financial influencer Javier Ferrer, have reported mass dismissals. Employees, some with over 14 years of seniority, claim they were denied access to the workplace without proper notice and are owed unpaid wages, bonuses, and severance pay. Following protests, the Buenos Aires Ministry of Labor has ordered mandatory conciliation and directed the company to reverse the dismissals.
