Poland time change regulation set to expire in 2026
The next seasonal time change in Poland is scheduled for the night of October 24–25, 2026, when clocks will be set back from 3:00 to 2:00. This transition marks the final date specified in the current Polish government regulation, which covers the period from 2022 to 2026.
While the European Commission has already published a schedule for time changes through 2031, the future of seasonal adjustments remains uncertain. The Commission has resumed analyses and consultations with member states regarding the potential abolition of daylight saving time, exploring various scenarios to move away from the practice.
For individuals, the change brings practical implications, such as an extra hour of sleep but earlier sunrise and earlier sunset. Medical experts note that the shift can impact biological rhythms, particularly for early risers and night-shift workers, who may experience a decline in well-being during the transition.
