Labor market data shows slowing U.S. job growth and low EU unemployment

Recent labor market data indicates varying trends in the United States and the European Union. In the U.S., ADP reported that private sector companies added 38,000 jobs in August, falling short of the expected 47,000. This represents the slowest growth rate since January. Sector-specific declines were noted in manufacturing, which lost 10,000 jobs, and professional and business services, which saw a decrease of 16,000. Growth was primarily concentrated in education and healthcare.

In the European Union, Eurostat data shows Poland's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate stood at 3.4% in July, second only to the Czech Republic at 3.3%. While the number of unemployed individuals in Poland decreased by 10,000 month-over-month, the figure has increased by 42,000 compared to the previous year. The overall EU unemployment rate remained stable at 6.1%.
