Labor market trends highlight skilled trades and lifelong learning

In Spain, a shortage of skilled tradespeople is driving high earning potential for qualified professionals. A plumber reported that skilled workers such as electricians, carpenters, or plumbers with their own clientele can earn between 3,000 and 10,000 euros per month. Data from the State Public Employment Service (SEPE) confirms that roles like electricians, plumbers, bricklayers, and welders are among the most difficult to fill in the labor market.

In Peru, the focus of professional success is shifting toward lifelong learning. Jonathan Golergant, rector of the Technological University of Peru (UTP), notes that due to rapid advancements in technology and artificial intelligence, continuous learning has become a necessity rather than an added value. Organizations now prioritize adaptability and the ability to quickly acquire and share new knowledge to remain competitive in a changing business environment.
