Labor Party holds national council to define 2027 electoral strategy

Delegates from the Labor Party (PT) met at the party's national headquarters in Mexico City for an Ordinary National Political Council meeting. Led by Alfredo Anaya Gutiérrez, the council brought together representatives from all federal entities to analyze national and international developments and establish work lines for the 2027 electoral process.

Michoacán was represented by five delegates, including Deputy Hugo Rangel Vargas and state leader Reginaldo Sandoval Flores. During the session, participants discussed the shifting global landscape, describing it as a “multipolar birth” characterized by new geopolitical alliances outside of the United States, China's naval growth, and various global conflicts.

Speakers warned that this global realignment brings increased foreign interference, posing a challenge to the “Fourth Transformation” and national sovereignty. Hugo Rangel Vargas emphasized that political organization and unity are necessary responses to foreign interests attempting to influence domestic processes. The meeting also included reports on the National Affiliation Campaign, state diagnostics, and progress within the party's cadre school.
