Labor reforms and public service stability face scrutiny

In Germany, dbb Federal Chairman Volker Geyer emphasized the importance of the public service during the 35th anniversary of dbb Sachsen-Anhalt in Magdeburg. Geyer highlighted that a functioning state relies on workers in schools, administration, and police. He also addressed political concerns regarding the civil service, criticizing proposals to replace large numbers of officials, noting that such actions would violate legal frameworks and the constitutional principle of the professional civil service.
