Labor updates: Neuquén extends registration deadline and Chile issues hiring subsidies

In Neuquén, Argentina, the Ministry of Labor and Human Development has extended the deadline for companies to re-register in the Computerized Registry of Employers (RIDE) until September 18. This mandatory process applies to all individuals and legal entities operating under Law 3468. Over 3,300 companies have already registered. The RIDE system aims to modernize labor management, provide traceability for worker data, and facilitate access to strategic programs such as 'Compre Neuquino' and 'Emplea Neuquén.'

In the Los Ríos Region of Chile, the 'Modo Empleo' agenda has begun distributing payments through the Hiring Subsidy (Labor Activation line). This initiative supports companies that create new formal jobs. In the first round of concessions for the region, 41 companies received a total of $10,546,686, benefiting 76 individuals. One recipient, the architecture and bioconstruction firm Mulch, was highlighted as an example of how these subsidies support small and medium-sized enterprises in formalizing employment.
