Laboratorio Arte Alameda to host human libraries talk
The Laboratorio Arte Alameda (LAA), part of the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes y Literatura (INBAL), will host a talk titled ‘Archivo vivo: Bibliotecas humanas’ on August 15. The event aims to explore the concept of the library as a space for exchange where knowledge is activated through lived experience rather than just books or institutional archives.
As part of the ‘Prácticas desobedientes’ program, the session will feature specialists including visual artists, historians, and curators. Participants will act as ‘human libraries,’ sharing knowledge derived from their personal trajectories and social practices. Featured speakers include visual artist Andrea Gaviño and Daniela Martínez, who will discuss topics ranging from institutional to personal archives and collective work.
