Laboratorio Eticos launches Orforglipron study in Paraguay

Laboratorio Eticos has introduced the RealorfoPy observational study during the 4th Paraguayan Congress of Diabetes and Cardiometabolic Diseases. The research aims to generate scientific evidence regarding the real-world use of Orforglipron, an oral GLP-1 receptor agonist, within the Paraguayan population. The study will be conducted by 60 professionals across various specialties.

Orfoglip, which contains the active ingredient Orforglipron, has received approval from DINAVISA in Paraguay. In addition to the RealorfoPy study, the laboratory presented updates on the REAL TIRZEPY investigation, which examines the real-world use of tirzepatide. The REAL TIRZEPY study has already seen significant interest, with 4,140 applications and 2,659 preselected candidates following quality control processes. Currently, the obesity cohort includes 80 participants, while 16 eligible candidates have been identified for the type 2 diabetes cohort.
