Laboratorios Pyam ordered to reinstate three union delegates in Argentina
A labor court in Gualeguaychú, Argentina, has ordered the immediate reinstatement of three union delegates at Laboratorios Pyam. The court recognized the union protection afforded to the workers, who had been dismissed in a move the Sindicato del Personal de Industrias Químicas y Petroquímicas de Zárate claimed was retaliation for union activities.
The reinstated workers returned to their positions at the plant on August 14. The union described the judicial ruling as a significant precedent that prevents anti-union practices and ensures representatives can perform their duties without persecution.
