Labour Party Chairman Seyit Aslan calls for united struggle in Gebze
Seyit Aslan, Chairman of the Labour Party (EMEP), called for a united struggle against the current political order during the 11th Ordinary Congress of the EMEP Gebze District Organization. Speaking at the event in Gebze, Aslan criticized the existing system, stating that it cannot be repaired and must be fundamentally changed.
Aslan addressed allegations of corruption and a ‘fund crisis,’ specifically mentioning former AK Party member Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya. He criticized the government's selective approach to investigations, noting that while opposition municipalities face operations, those close to the ruling party are not held to the same standard. He remarked, ‘A thief cannot hold another thief accountable.’
The congress was attended by representatives from various political parties, including the DEM Party, Sol Party, and the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP), as well as various labor unions and professional organizations.
