Other states favor different dogs: Alaska prefers the Australian Cattle Dog and Oklahoma the German Shepherd; Arizona and Utah choose Chihuahuas for their small size and heat tolerance. Rhode Island’s favorite is the French Bulldog, Kentucky favors Miniature Schnauzers, and North Dakota lists Cockapoos.
