LaBron Kozone discusses mentorship of Je’Von Evans

Professional wrestler and trainer LaBron Kozone recently discussed his relationship with his former student, Je’Von Evans, in an interview with Fightful. Kozone expressed being deeply moved by Evans' desire to repay him for his mentorship by requesting a marquee match, such as at WrestleMania.

Kozone noted that while they faced each other years ago when Evans was a teenager, a high-profile match remains a dream. However, Kozone stated that Evans already repays him daily through his dedication and performance in the ring.

Regarding his training philosophy, Kozone emphasized two core principles he instills in talents like Evans and Jackson Drake: perfection and perseverance. He highlighted that the mental and emotional challenges of the industry—such as navigating public scrutiny and interpersonal relationships—are often more difficult than the physical demands of wrestling.
