Lacoste partners with Alpine and Renault
Lacoste has entered a new automotive partnership with Alpine, a brand under the Renault group, through the Alpine A290 Rallye. This move marks a shift from the fashion brand's historical ties to the PSA Group.
Historically, Lacoste collaborated with Peugeot in the mid-1980s with the 205 Lacoste, a notable example of a generalist manufacturer partnering with a fashion house. The brand later worked with Citroën on a Lacoste concept car presented at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, which reinterpreted the Méhari spirit as a small crossover.
This latest collaboration continues the trend of automotive manufacturers partnering with fashion labels, following previous industry examples such as Renault-Kenzo and Mini-Paul Smith.
