Lacoste replaces CEO Eric Vallat with Thierry Guibert
Lacoste has announced a change in leadership, with Thierry Guibert returning to the role of CEO. Guibert previously held the position for a decade before Eric Vallat took over in June 2025.
Vallat’s departure occurred shortly before the brand presented its Spring/Summer 2027 collection at the Roland Garros complex during Paris Fashion Week. According to reports, the dismissal was not driven by market performance. Vallat had been tasked with transitioning the brand into the premium fashion segment and reducing low-margin wholesale sales.
The new collection, titled ‘Dress Code: No White Required’, was designed by creative director Pelagia Kolotouros. It aims to move away from rigid preppy conventions toward more creative, fluid structures and technical fabrics while maintaining the brand’s historical connection to tennis.
