Lacrimas Profundere Announces New Album 'Lay Me Down O Silent Fear' for September

German gothic‑metal band Lacrimas Profundere, celebrating 33 years together, announced that its next studio album will be released on 25 September. The record, titled *Lay Me Down O Silent Fear*, follows a four‑year gap since the band’s last full‑length release. During that period the group performed more than 100 shows across Europe, headlined major festivals and supported Paradise Lost on a European tour in autumn 2025.

Pre‑orders for the album are now open and the band has issued a new single and accompanying video, “O Silent Fear,” which blends elements of gothic rock, metalcore and classic heavy‑metal influences. Track titles highlighted include “Days Of Doom,” “Nevermore,” “Heart I Will Break You Before You Break Me,” and “Arcane Promises.” The band describes the upcoming album as its most diverse and ambitious work to date.

Band members quoted in promotional material include guitarist Oliver Nikolas Schmid, who said the opening track “Days Of Doom” captures the band’s new direction. The release is expected to reach fans in the 40‑plus countries where Lacrimas Profundere has previously toured.
