Ladakh Lieutenant Governor confers UT State Awards on 36 individuals

Ladakh Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena conferred the ‘UT State Awards’ on 36 individuals for the period of 2022-2025. The awards recognize outstanding contributions and exemplary service that have aided the development and progress of the Union Territory.

The honors span several diverse categories, including bravery, literature, art and craft, social reform, environmental protection, public service, sports, entrepreneurship, progressive farming, and academics.

During the ceremony, Saxena stated that the awards aim to foster a culture of excellence and inspire the youth to contribute to the welfare of Ladakh. He noted that the recipients' achievements contribute to the region's social, cultural, educational, economic, and sporting advancement.
