Ladispoli to host sixth Caravaggio art exhibition in shop windows

The town of Ladispoli is preparing for the sixth edition of ‘Caravaggio in vetrina’, an event that transforms the main street into an open-air museum. Scheduled to begin in the last week of September, the initiative features museum-quality copies of Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio’s masterpieces displayed in shop windows along Viale Italia.

This year, the exhibition will include works by artists from across Italy, including interpretations by both adults and children. The event aims to strengthen the historical connection between the artist and the region, as Caravaggio is believed to have landed on the nearby beach of Palo during his final days. The exhibition is expected to coincide with the anniversary of the artist's birth on September 29.
