Lady Leigh reflects on one year since WWE release

Professional wrestler Lady Leigh, formerly known as Jin Tala, has reflected on the one-year anniversary of her release from WWE. Leigh, who competed under the Evolve brand and participated in the first season of WWE LFG, noted that she received the news during her boyfriend Ilja Dragunov’s birthday dinner.

Leigh shared that the lack of specific reasons provided during the call initially caused her to question her professional abilities and led to significant self-doubt. However, she stated that she remained determined to continue her career rather than letting the decision end her wrestling journey.

Since her departure in October 2025, Leigh has transitioned to the independent wrestling scene, recently making her debut for Ring of Honor. She is currently competing in Japan, an experience she described as vital for her development and for pursuing the specific style of wrestling she is most passionate about.
