Lady Louise Windsor competes in carriage driving season finale
Lady Louise Windsor, the 22-year-old daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, recently competed in the final meet of the carriage driving season at Windsor Great Park.
Lady Louise continues a family equestrian legacy inspired by her late grandfather, Prince Philip, who was a prominent figure in the sport. She inherited his driving ponies and carriage following his death in 2021. During the event, she was supported by her mother, the Duchess of Edinburgh.
The competition highlighted Lady Louise’s dedication to the sport, which she has practiced since making her eventing debut five years ago. Observers noted the resemblance between Lady Louise and her late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, particularly in her affectionate interactions with her horses.
