Ladysmith Show 'n' Shine Returns Downtown with New Car Club

The 22nd annual Ladysmith Show 'n' Shine will take place on Aug. 14‑15, featuring more than 200 classic cars, trucks and motorcycles. 2026 marks the first year the event is hosted by the newly formed Ladysmith Lug Nuts Car Club, a volunteer group of 20 members that grew out of previous organizers.

Club president Bob Purslow said, "The public won’t see anything different this year, except maybe a bit more organized," and noted that moving the venue from Transfer Beach to downtown Ladysmith has boosted participation. Registration costs $25 with a cap of 200 entries. The downtown streets will host music, food trucks, a 50/50 draw and trophies for the top three vehicles, plus a special award for the coolest paint job. The 2026 Tour de Rock team will also make a brief stop in town during the show.
