The 74th annual Kiwanis Club of Lafayette Jamboree has commenced at Our Lady of Lourdes Stadium in Louisiana. During the first night of action, Lafayette High defeated Cecilia 27-14, St. Thomas More secured a 41-0 shutout against Breaux Bridge, and Southside beat Carencro 28-6.

The event, which features 12 teams playing six games over two nights, returns to Cajun Field following a two-year hiatus due to stadium renovations. The jamboree continues Friday with matchups including Northside versus Notre Dame, Acadiana against Teurlings Catholic, and St. Martinville facing Lafayette Christian.

Simultaneous jamborees are also being held in Iberia Parish at NISH and in St. Landry Parish at Donald Gardner Stadium. Additionally, St. Edmund is hosting the Joe Ngata Memorial Jamboree.
