Lagardère News acquires 25% stake in Frontières

Lagardère News, a subsidiary of billionaire Vincent Bolloré's media holdings, is acquiring a 25% stake in the identity-focused media outlet Frontières. Erik Tegnér, the founder of Frontières and its primary shareholder through the publishing company Artefakt, confirmed the deal to AFP, noting that he will retain control of the media outlet.

The acquisition aims to create synergies within the Bolloré media ecosystem, which already includes CNews, where Tegnér hosts the program ‘100% Frontières’. As part of the move, the Frontières editorial team will relocate to the Tour Lagardère in Paris, joining other outlets like CNews and Europe 1. The program ‘100% Frontières’ will also expand its broadcast schedule on CNews to include Fridays.

A key component of this partnership is the upcoming launch of ‘L’Indiscret’ in late September. Described as a hybrid between investigative journalism and confidential newsletters, the new outlet will focus on political backrooms, influence networks, and the economy.
