Lager 157 opens large new store in Essen's Limbecker Platz

The Swedish fashion retailer Lager 157 opened a new branch at the Limbecker Platz shopping center in Essen, Germany, on August 20. The opening drew significant crowds, with a queue stretching approximately 100 meters through the basement corridor.

This location, situated in the former Karstadt department store area, is the brand's first store in the Ruhr region and its largest in Germany, covering 3,391 square meters. The retailer specializes in affordable streetwear basics, such as T-shirts, hoodies, and jeans. To manage the high volume of customers and ensure safety, staff and security implemented periodic entry stops to prevent overcrowding.

Founded in Stockholm in 1996, Lager 157 is currently expanding its presence beyond Scandinavia. The store opened precisely at 15:07, a timing that aligns with the brand's name, which originates from the house number of its first location.
