Lages hosts ‘Encantados’ theater production exploring Contestado history

The Cena Viva Performing Arts Circuit is hosting the theatrical production ‘Encantados’ by Cia Matakiterani at the Sesc Pocket Theater in Lages. The performance, scheduled for August 28, explores themes of memory, territory, and regional culture.

The play follows the character Nório through the deep Sertão, weaving together mystical figures and historical elements related to the Contestado War. The production aims to connect the audience with the collective imaginary and history of the region. The event includes participation from local students and offers accessibility through Libras.
