Lagoa Grande hosts second catch and release fishing festival

The second “Pesque e Solte” (Catch and Release) Sport Fishing Festival took place on September 27 at Lagoa Grande. The event attracted thousands of participants, including experienced anglers and beginners, focusing on sustainable fishing practices and environmental preservation.

In addition to the competition, the festival featured musical performances by João Paulo and Ricardo and various family-oriented leisure activities. Organizers noted the event's success in promoting the use of Lagoa Grande as a community space but emphasized the need for better waste management and responsibility among visitors regarding litter disposal.
