Lagos airport police arraign man for alleged military helicopter sale attempt
Mark Agbor, a 47-year-old employee of Pathfinders International Limited, has been arraigned for impersonation and unauthorized access to restricted areas at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.
According to the Airport Police Command, Agbor allegedly posted a video on social media on October 7, 2026, claiming to own two military combat helicopters and offering one for sale. The suspect was handed over to the police by the Nigerian Air Force Provost Investigation Unit in Ikeja.
Commissioner of Police Olufunke Ogunbode stated that the incident carries serious security implications and could undermine the operations of security agencies. She urged airport stakeholders to improve employee screening and background checks to prevent similar security breaches. The court has adjourned the case until November 18, 2026.
