Lagos announces traffic diversions for Oke-Afa Bridge repairs

The Lagos State Government has announced a three-week traffic diversion plan for the rehabilitation of the Oke-Afa Bridge in Isolo. The works are scheduled to begin on Friday, August 28, 2026, and are expected to conclude by Friday, September 18, 2026.

The rehabilitation will be conducted in two distinct phases. The first phase, running from August 28 to September 11, will affect the outbound Isolo-to-Ejigbo axis. During this period, motorists traveling from Isolo toward Ejigbo will be diverted onto the Isolo-bound carriageway at Pako Roundabout, where traffic will move in both directions before rejoining the main road at the Mobil Filling Station.

The second phase will take place from September 12 to September 18, focusing on the inbound Ejigbo-to-Isolo axis. Motorists traveling from Ejigbo toward Isolo will be diverted onto the Ejigbo-bound carriageway at the Mobil Filling Station, with two-way traffic moving until reaching Pako Roundabout.

The project is being managed by the Federal Ministry of Works and executed by Strabic Construction Limited. To manage congestion, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority will be deployed to the area, and an emergency tow vehicle will be stationed nearby to assist with vehicle breakdowns.
