Lagos disability agency and NCC train 100 people in digital skills

The Lagos State Office for Disability Affairs (LASODA) and the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) recently conducted a two-day training program to equip 100 persons with disabilities (PWDs) with digital citizenship skills. Held in Ikeja, the initiative focused on teaching participants how to navigate the digital environment safely, responsibly, and effectively to enhance their prospects in employment and entrepreneurship.

Participants and organizers emphasized the importance of digital inclusion to ensure that individuals with disabilities can participate in the digital economy. Following the session, participants called upon both the government and the private sector to move beyond one-off programs and establish regular, sustained digital skills development training to foster long-term self-reliance.
