Lagos driver remanded for alleged abduction and defilement of teenager
Segun Falola, a 34-year-old driver, has been remanded at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre following his arraignment at the Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court. He faces charges of abduction and defilement involving a 14-year-old girl.
According to the prosecution, the alleged incidents occurred between April 3 and April 24 in the Alakuko area of Lagos. The prosecutor, ASP Adegoke Ademigbuji, stated that Falola allegedly abducted the teenager while she was traveling from Alakuko to Agege and lured her into a house where the assault took place.
The victim was eventually recovered after her phone was tracked to Oyo State, where she was allegedly being held. The court, presided over by Chief Magistrate Mrs. C. M. Kushanu, ordered Falola to be remanded pending legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions. The case has been adjourned until September 30.
