Lagos educational initiatives provide school supplies and AI technology centres
Educational initiatives in Lagos are providing significant resources to students through various foundation-led programs. The Olalekan Ayinla Foundation distributed back-to-school materials, including uniforms, books, and stationery, to 480 pupils across eight public primary schools under the Ikeja Local Government Education Authority. This intervention, approved by the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board, aims to reduce the financial burden on parents and encourage student commitment to learning.
In a separate technological advancement, the Leo Stan Ekeh Foundation and Zinox Group have established AI technology centres at Gbagada Senior Grammar School and Lanre Awolokun High School. These centres are equipped with desktop computers, interactive AI screens, Starlink satellite internet, and renewable energy systems. The foundation also announced a target to provide full university scholarships and technology training for 1,000 academically talented young Nigerians from low-income households.
