Lagos motorcyclist killed in tipper truck collision

An adult male motorcyclist was killed after being struck by a sand-laden tipper truck at the Ilasa Bus Stop, inward Mile 2, in Lagos State. The accident occurred at approximately 3:18 pm on Thursday.

Preliminary investigations by the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) suggest the driver of the truck, marked 19F 992FG, lost control and rammed into the motorcycle from behind. LASEMA’s Eagle Response Team, along with paramedics from the Lagos Response Unit, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, and police officers, attended the scene.

The deceased's remains were recovered and handed over to family members at the site. Both the truck and the motorcycle were moved to the Ilasamaja Police Station for further investigation. Authorities have since restored normal traffic flow in the area.
