Lagos, Owerri, and Calabar to host Samuel Okwaraji Cup finals

The Southern Zonal playoffs of the Samuel Okwaraji Foundation National Secondary Schools Football Competition, also known as the Memoir Cup, are scheduled to take place from November 3 to November 7. The matches will be held across three locations: Maracana Stadium in Ajegunle, Lagos; Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri; and U. J. Esuene Stadium in Calabar.

The playoffs will include teams from the South-West, South-East, and South-South geopolitical zones. The three southern zonal champions will advance to the national finals in Lagos later in November to compete against the winners of the northern zonal playoffs.

Sponsored by First Bank, the competition honors the late Nigerian footballer Samuel Okwaraji. The Nigeria School Sport Federation, acting as the technical partner, has committed to maintaining high standards and transparent processes throughout the tournament, which aims to discover and nurture football talent among secondary school students.
