Lagos Police arrest suspected Eiye member and recover pistol in Mushin

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested 24-year-old Segun Alani, a suspected member of the Eiye Confraternity, during an operation in Mushin. The arrest took place near the Ogunmokun Under-Bridge following intelligence regarding cult-related activities in the area.

During the operation, police recovered a locally made single-barrel pistol that was found concealed inside a bag in Alani’s possession. The suspect is currently in custody and is reportedly providing information to assist investigators in uncovering further members of the suspected cult network.

Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Tijani Fatai, commended the surveillance team for their intelligence-driven response. He reaffirmed the command’s commitment to disrupting cultism and recovering illegal firearms throughout the state, warning criminal elements to cease their activities.
